open kumite and kata championship


 

1. Date: Saturday, 01 February 2014. 

2. Organiser: Sátoraljaiújhelyi Kyokushin Karate Sports Club, member of Oyama Karate Kyokushin Hungary (OKKH).

4. Venue: Hungary, Sátoraljaújhely, Town Sports Hall (Liget square 3.)


5. Participants: members of OKKH and invited organisations from other groups.

 

6. Age divisions

7. Competition rules and protectors: in accordance with Oyama Karate Kyokushin Hungary tournament rules (knock-down, kata). Up to the junior category the following are compulsory: head, shin, seiken protector + suspensor (groin protector) for boys and chest protector for girls. There is no protecting equipment for “A” class men except for the suspensor. For “A” class women breast protector (leaving the chudan area open) is compulsory. Fighting time up to adults: 2 + 1 minutes. Adults: 3+2+2 minutes. More extensions are allowed. Detailed description of protecting equipment, fighting times, extensions, penalties, contact rules etc. will be given at the referees’ meeting and upon inquiry.

31 January (Friday) – Arrivals

                                   16:00 – Referees’ meeting, drawings for kumite

 

1 February (Saturday) – Tournament day

8.00 – 9.00 - Medical examination for kata competitors and draw

9.00 – 10.00 - Kata competition starts, weigh-in for under 18s and medical examination

10.00 – 11.00 - Competition for under 18s (up to the adult category) starts, weigh-in for adults and medical examination

11.00 - Under 18s semifinals, adult preliminaries

14.00 - Opening ceremony, semi finals

18.00 – Finals

19.00 – Award giving ceremony


14. Note:

The draw of fights will be done Friday evening, no amendments will be accepted. The correct weight must be indicated on the application form, competitors cannot enter in a different weight category. Please indicate whether the competitor will enter in kata and/or kumite.


15. Conditions of participation:

ü  Entry before deadline.

ü  Current medical certificate and required grade

ü  Medical health check on the day, and participation approved by the doctor.

ü  Valid permission for 2014 (Budo Pass or equivalent national document). 


16. Prizes

1st. place: cup, medal, certificate.

2nd, 3rd place: medal, certificate.

The system of the competition and the order of kata performance:

In case of 3 competitors:

Round matches system:

1st round – the whole round – compulsory katas all the way

2nd round – the whole round – freely chosen katas

It is enough to know 1 freely chosen kata in all age groups.


In case of 4 competitors:

Without falling out, but

in the 1st round: compulsory katas

in the 2nd round: freely chosen katas

It is enough to know 1 freely chosen kata in all age groups.

In case of 5-7 competitors:

There is a selection match to get in the best 4. They decide the 3rd place.

8 competitors and up:

Fall out system. There is no competition for the 3rd place (so, there is a shared 3rd place)

In the kids, adolescent and junior categories they must know 1 freely chosen kata, so they can show the same kata in the 3rd round.

In the junior category they must know 2 freely chosen katas.

 

The kata tournament will be carried out in a 5 referees system: 1 center + 4 corner judges.

The application fee of 10 EUR should be paid at the registration.

 

The competitor hereby declares that participating at this kyokushin karate tournament is at his own risk. Please note that no-one can enroll for a knock-down even who has had a knock out to the head 6 months prior the tournament. Please bring your own doctor’s certificate in English to prove you are allowed to enter this championship. Adult women’s certificate should include the statement that she is not pregnant. OKKH does not take any responsibility for any injuries suffered at the event.
